Whoever appreciates angling will find a privileged setting made up by accessible water bodies in the proximity of Aluminé.
We ourselves resorted to local guides in order to learn something else about this activity with the purpose of practicing it. We bought the corresponding license and went out to Calfiquitra Creek, one of the most famed fisheries in the area, which contributes its waters to Lake Ruca Choroi.
We found it inside Lanín National Park, immersed in the Andean Patagonian Forest. The place we chose to start fishing featured outstanding beauty. Besides, we learned that the Quillén, Aluminé and Pulmarí Rivers, as well as the lake known as Laguna de Los Giles are highly recommended for this activity.
The weather conditions vary year after year and it is necessary to check with the locals about the movement of the different species. Each habitat has its own characteristics and is a good idea to be aware of them at the moment of acquiring the fishing license. Rainbow, brown and “fontinalis” trout as well as perch are caught. All of them offer different degrees of resistance when captured and that represents a true incentive.
