Carpintería

Carpintería Carpintería

Carpintería is one of the most outstanding sites in the San Luis Mountain Range. Some decades ago, the city succeeded in making a tourist projection that today has turned it into a main destination in the Province of San Luis.

Located on the range known as Sierras de los Comechingones (named after the primitive peoples who dwelled in this place), in the spot today known as Valle del Conlara, Carpintería is part of one of the most delightful geographical features in the province.

Small but thriving, rustic but avant-garde, this small settlement is a pleasant and adventurous destination. These contradictions make it a favorite among travelers who are just passing by as well as among those who choose to stay at some of its cabins, inns or tourist resorts.

Paragliding and hang-gliding take hold of the sky. In the meantime, horseback riding, hiking, trekking, cycling and even fishing outings have managed to captivate hundreds of young men and women who spend their vacations at this spot year after year.

In addition to the abovementioned tourist attractions, its swim holes and wildlife camping sites summon thousands of visitors coming from neighboring towns and all over the country every summer.

Tours to Cerro Blanco and the town of Los Molles, which shelters a cascade with seven falls known as Cascada de Siete Saltos add up to the local attractions that turn Carpintería into an ideal site to extend any stay at the Province of San Luis.

Top cabins and inns, campsites and resorts are part of the accommodation alternatives this booming district has to offer.
