reservation and exhibition of the archaeological heritage of the province. Opened in 1993, the museum is housed in a colonial-style building that reflects the history and culture of the region.
Its collection includes a wide variety of pre-Columbian archaeological pieces spanning thousands of years, from the earliest human settlements to the advanced Andean cultures that flourished before the arrival of the Spanish. Among the outstanding objects are ceramics, textiles, stone tools, ritual artifacts and funerary elements, many of them belonging to the Omaguaca, Diaguita and Inca cultures.

Fuimos varias veces a Jujuy pero no habíamos visitado este lugar. Creo es el mejor museo de la capital Jujeña. Esta todo explicado en sus diversas salas. Es la historia viva de la provincia...
