The municipal swimming pool at the Carlos Xamena campsite is now open for summer enjoyment in the city of Salta. At the opening on Sunday, January 7, many neighbors joined the event with a variety of activities planned for an extraordinary day with music, dancing, games, raffles and many surprises.
From the moment visitors enter, they are greeted with amenities that enhance their stay. A barbecue grill and picnic table invite outdoor moments while the pool is the goal of young and old to splash and dive into. For those seeking the authenticity of a camping experience, designated campfire areas ensure cozy gatherings around the fire.
The Secretariat of Youth and Sports emphasizes that the current registration places the municipal property in a relevant position to provide quality services. These include restrooms, showers with hot water, barbecue grills to enjoy outdoor meals, children's playgrounds and sports areas, wifi connection and security measures to ensure the welfare of visitors.
The campsite bears the name of a man from Salta who dedicated his life to the struggle for workers' rights. His legacy covers the historical period from 1945 to 1955, a decade of social protagonism and emancipation for the working class. He was an Argentine nurse, trade unionist and politician. His outstanding career led him to become the first workers' governor of Salta between 1951 and 1952.
The Xamena swimming pool operates from Tuesday to Sunday between 1 and 7 p.m. During the mornings, the space is a summer camp for children and senior citizens.
