“There was a time when the shores of the lagoon were inhabited by an Indian tribe of gentle and hard-working men and very beautiful women” goes the legend of Laguna Brava. At present, after such a long time has passed, this village invites visitors to spend a day in contact with nature, surrounded by the Balcarce Mountain Range, some of the most ancient on the planet.
La Brava Lagoon is a water mirror rich in wildlife which occupies 420 hectares and whose depth ranges between 4 and 6 meters. The village may be visited with the simple aim of spending a day in the open air, combining water and mountains. Or else, visitors can make the most of the tour and perform various activities offered at the complexes located on the lagoon coast.
Following the access from Route 226, visitors will arrive in Ruca Lauquen, a seven-hectare complex located on the southern coast of the lagoon, which offers cabins, a lodge and a spacious camp-site area with grills. Open all year round, this spot is chosen by lovers of nautical sports, such as water skiing, windsurfing or wakeboarding.
