Arts Night

San Martín de los Andes is well-known for its scenes, the warmth of its people and a community that loves the different manifestation of cultural activities.

For one night in January and another one in February, San Martín Avenue becomes a pedestrian street and the meeting point for popular presentations. Rock bands, plastic artists, folklore music, magicians and clowns show off their talents in front of the cheering crowd.

Artistic expressions multiply every year, adding new proposals. The result is an endless entertainment offer and the chance to buy something from the stands.

Attendants wander along the five blocks while acrobats pirouette on a unicycle. At the same time, folkloric tunes sound a few meters away. Farther ahead, a group of drummers makes everyone dance to their rhythm. That is how heterogeneous this event is.

If the weather is mild and the sky is clear, joy is complete and everyone, including locals and visitors, go out with the family to see all these shows. The blissful spirit fades away at midnight, when the Arts Night bids farewell until a new issue.
