Almost on the border with the province of Córdoba, this small town is an idyllic landscape to rest and enjoy the walks in the mountains of the Conlara valley, where the comechingones lived, on the eastern edge of cuyo. But its also a place that calls extreme adventure. Climbing, rappelling, zip line, trekking, mountain biking, paragliding... The capital of free flight has a different proposal, with a lot of adrenaline, in which the launch in these ultralight hoverers stands out.

The village of Carpintería was known for the construction and repair of wagons and carriages in colonial times. Today it is the reference for paragliders and aladeltists, since it has many platforms to enjoy free flight in the mountains.

At the summit of the Blanco Hill, whose height reaches 2200 meters above sea level, an introductory talk prepares travelers to make the most incredible walk you can imagine. They are two-seat baptismal flights with specialized instructors, backed by control agencies, who provide all the equipment and basic knowledge to take off and land. After takeoff, the sensations of vertigo and adrenaline give way to the peaceful enjoyment of a wonderful experience. The instructor takes care of all technical issues while the passenger can feel in the body the sensations of flying.

From the top of the hill you can appreciate the entire expans of the valley, a region with a privileged microclimate that houses different villages and places. From Villa de Merlo, provincial route 1 runs through this valley discovering villages such as Carpintería, Los Molles, Cortaderas, Villa Larca to Papagayos.

The time of the ride varies between 15 and 30 minutes and flights are made throughout the year, as long as the weather conditions allow them. A recommended option for those who are not afraid of heights and want to explore in new personal challenges.
