La Serranita
La Serranita Nestled amidst the hills of Paravachasca Valley lies La Serranita, a small settlement highly appreciated by lovers of mountain air. It is located fifty kilometers away from the City of Córdoba and twenty from the City of Alta Gracia.
The Anisacate River borders this settlement of undulated relief and slow-paced lifestyle. Its coastline shelters several swim holes and recreational spaces for the family. Visitors may enjoy the shady old willows and freshen up in its crystal-clear sandy riverbed. They just need to be alert for any rainfall in the high summits as the river volume increases dangerously a few hours after the rain starts.
Cascada de los Helechos (Ferns Cascade) lies very close to the town and boasts transparent waters, steps, rocks and walls the Anisacate River features alongside its course. The thick vegetation constitutes the frame of this natural and majestic place.
Walking around the surrounding hills is part of the usual activities. Besides the exercise, they get people close to mild scenes of extreme beauty. Ever since the early days, all these attributes have brought along the settlement of several day camp facilities. Later on, the construction of cabins and inns, campsites and restaurants enhanced the services provided by the local denizens.
